Driving directions:  From Charleston travel I-77 N to Kenna exit (exit 124).  Turn right on Kentuck Road (CR-19), travel approximately 3.6 miles, the road (CR-19) appears to end at the intersection, follow the road going to the left for approximately .1 mile.  Turn left onto White Pine Road (CR 34/18).  Follow White Pine Road for 4.4 miles, at this point you will encounter a small creek crossing, once through the small creek travel .1 mile, turn left through the creek, follow this road for approximately .4 mile. It is necessary to cross through the creek three additional times before reaching the road to the cemetery.  Park near the second house. The path to the cemetery is slightly below the house, between two Apple Trees. Go approximately 500', the road/path turns sharply left and the road becomes more obvious. Follow road to the top of the hill (approximately 1500').  Best method of access is probably on foot, and during dry periods.  Due to the creek crossings, heavy rains may make the road impassable.

Dates or text in Red are not inscribed on the tombstone and have either been calculated based on death date or are as a result of research on the individual.

There may well be other names that should be on the list above, as there are a number of graves marked with stones that have not been inscribed.  If you know of any names and information that should be added or corrected to the above, please contact WVCPA.

WVCPA volunteers Charlotte & Steve Iman report:

"The cemetery contained approximately 55 graves, most were clearly marked. some were marked with small stone slabs bearing initials, others were marked with stones containing no visible engraving.  Tall grass was present at the initial entry and portions of the access road, but the cemetery appears well maintained."

Sincere thank you's to the Iman's for gathering this information and the photos for this cemetery page!Casto-Hutton Cemetery, Jackson Co., WV
