Dates in Red
are not inscribed on the tombstone and have either been calculated based on
death date or are as a result of research on the individual.
The listing for this cemetery, along with a large
number of tombstone photos, was initiated by long time WVCPA contributor Keith
Weekley. He writes regarding this cemetery and his efforts presented here:
"This is the largest cemetery in Jackson
County that I found. There are thousands of graves here. I have just
listed a few, mostly my relatives and I am leaving the balance for the local
people of Jackson Co., to complete this for their County and [for posting
on] the internet. It is an 800 mile round trip for me to drive up here each
weekend and my car wants out of this. This cemetery would be a major
project for two or three church groups to complete. Jackson county is
represented here with names such as Anderson, Bozo, Casto, Parsons, Staats,
Rowley, Weekley, Hughes, McGlothlin, King, Rardin, McCoy, Ankrum, Bibbee,
Vosburgh and many others."
WVCPA thanks Keith for his great work, and we
look forward to volunteers stepping forward to assist with provided a
complete, up-to-date listing for this cemetery, and hopefully additional
tombstone and views from throughout the cemetery from various times of the
year. If you or your community or church group are willing to donate your time
to providing this service to the community and sending a listing to post here,
please contact WVCPA!
