Comments: Dates or names in Red are not inscribed on the tombstone and have either been calculated based on death date or are as a result of research on the individual.

In "Mason County, W.Va. Cemetery Inscriptions", Vol II, page 35, Jarrett Hill (d. Nov. 16, 1874, aged 59 yrs 1 mo 9 ds) is listed as a "probable burial" in this cemetery.  Jarrett Hill, with that death date and age, has a grave alongside his wife Mary at the Jarrett Hill Cemetery above Thirteenmile Creek near Rockcastle Church on the other side of the river.  In light of that, he has not been included on this page under "probable burials."

Thanks to the generous research and photography of WVCPA contributor, Tracy Cain, we have the photos above to present to you. When he visited the cemetery in June 2004, he could only uncover the three stones photographed above - no others were visible in this badly-overgrown cemetery.

This cemetery was last read by Mrs. Irene Brand (who lives on the farm next to the one where this cemetery is located) in May 1970.  Any updates and additional photos are most welcome.  Contact WVCPA if you can provide either.
