Dates or information in Red type from research on the individual, dates based on age at death as indicated on the tombstone.

The granddaughter of Wild Rose McKibben Wallace, Joann Burnside Townsend, shared this story of the cemetery with us. The Wallace Cemetery referred to in the account is on top of the hill just behind Siloam Church and has been documented separately:

"My aunt, Gladys Wallace, was the first person buried in the Siloam Cemetery. It was in the winter (1913) when she died.  My grandmother, Wild Rose McKibben Wallace, was expecting a baby in January 1914 and could not get up on the hill for her burial, probably snow and ice on the ground as well.  My grandfather, Walter Wallace, spoke to the man  (I believe his name was Wilson Priddy) who owned the land where the Siloam Cemetery is now, explaining the situation about his wife and the death of their daughter, asking him if they could bury Gladys there. It has been used as a cemetery every since."

WVCPA thanks faithful volunteer, Angela Harkins, for providing the updated reading and photos for this cemetery in September 2008. When she visited the cemetery in August 2008, the church grounds were in bad need of mowing, but the cemetery was well-kept and in good condition. WVCPA staff visited the cemetery in October 2009 and were glad to see that the conditions were the same as in 2008.
