County: Putnam
USGS Quad: Bancroft
Coordinates: 38.6074ºN  81.8083ºW
Maintained by: unknown
Land owner: unknown
Date added to WVCPA register: September 2008
Condition of cemetery**: Excellent (May 2008)
Accessibility: The cemetery is located at the top of Bowles Ridge, on the west side of Bowles Road on a knoll in a cattle pasture. Easily accessible, though with a small hill to climb to the gate of the cemetery. No off-road parking at the bottom of the hill, other than to open the gate and park in the meadow field itself. Do keep the gate closed at all times, as this is an actively used pasture. Very well maintained when WVCPA staff visited in May 2008. Directions: from Rt. 34, take the Bowles Road (CR 34-8) west past Paradise Cemetery. In about 2 miles or less from Rt. 34, you'll see the gate by the road with the sign for the cemetery, and the cemetery itself on a tree-crowned knoll on the west (left) side of the road. It is on a relatively blind spot in the road for cars coming up the hill from Eighteenmile Creek to the north, so use extreme caution as you get in and out of the car and find a spot to park. If conditions are very wet, you may consider parking in the church parking lot just a short ways south of the cemetery just off Bowles Road. It's an easy stroll to the cemetery from there, as long as you stay well off to the side of the road.:
